Hallo beste ds rijders,

Ik rijd een ds 21 super 5   op lpg. De laatste tijd bokt de motor heel erg als ik in lage versnellingen op lpg rijd.   In de 5 merk ik er niets van. Schakel ik dan over op benzine, dan is er niets meer aan de hand en loopt de motor heel netjes.
Kleppen zijn pas gesteld ( iets ruimer voor het gas), de bougies zijn pas 5000 km oud evenals de kabels. Ik heb elektronische ontsteking.
Waar moet ik het probleem zoeken?
het merk van de gasinstallatie is OVNL of iets dergelijks ( slecht leesbaar)

I can be that your evaporator (veerdamper) is broken - I have had this; they do wear out and can be rebuilt.
A second possibility is that the petrol (benzin) shut-off valve to the carburettor is worn and is leaking into the carb a little and makes the engine run rich then stall - I have had this too, again an easy fix. Can be diagnosed by taking the hose from the feed to the carb and seeing if there is any flow when running on LPG.

A damaged evaporator is harder to diagnose but if it looks old and shitty - it probably is. Replacements are cheap.
If it is a very old evaporator run by manifold vacuum (small rubber hose form the inlet manifold of the engine to the middle of the evaporator)the replace it anyway.

Either problem is a cheap (less that 100 euro) fix. There can also bee a tear in the LPG line to the mixer but this would really stop the car running.
