Heb ook eens zoiets voor gehad.
Een bx die op de foto’s echt als nieuw leek, en volgens de verkoper was hij dat ook. Maar toen ik aankwam bleek de voorbumper en achterbumper kapot, 2 grote deuken in het voorscherm, 1 sideskirt was weg, spiegel kapot, koffer kapot, interieur heel erg beschadigd, open dak kapot, uitlaat ging er half af,trekhaak half afgeroest,...

Jan ik ben vrijdag vrij en ik heb nog nooit een SM van dichtbij gezien…

Daarna wil je nooit meer iets anders…

Don’t be fooled by the new (welded) spheres - I bought those last year. The old ones were completely gone - with the associated damage to the radius arms that causes
There is a big dent on the underside of the valance in front of the right wheel - I did this making an ill-advised (and illegal) U-turn at Schiphol after the car was already sold. They have big curb stones there.
Don’t hear any lies about the welding to the floor (both sides). I had this done before my family visited only to have some metal to bolt the seat belts to (for some safety). The steering rack was replaced at the same time as the one that was there was pouring 1L of LHM a week - caused the ride higt to drop in corners too. The ‘new’ one is only marginally better.

And whatever you do don’t press any bits of metal too hard - even if they look solid, they have been painted - you don’t want the seller claiming you damaged their (perfect) car when you looked! 

Oh, one more thing. Look at the sill (longeron) on the right hand side under the passenger door. It has some big Holes in it (and much tectyl) but also look at the odd plate welded there. The sill was badly deformed by the old bastard at Kroonband, Hengelosestraat, Enschede. He jacked the car in the middle of the sill, then could not get the wheel back on, so he raise the car on this one (wrong) point to an extreme angle causing irreparable damage.

The owner may not deserve that and it would be a heart breaker to burn a DS, maybe we can make it an art object.

Give it to an high school engineering class for a project - should last them 10 years or so.

That`s a great idear, but I don`t think the current owner will cooperate. I`ll wait for Jan till he answers my question. I won`t go alone but I am curious.
